Another birthday and another year went by. Each year passes on with a promise of making some great memories. This year my family had a different but heart-warming plan for me. Along with lovely gifts, I also got some beautiful memories. Each one in the family including my mom and dad wrote about five memories that they build with me. However, in the times of technology I did not receive a physical copy of the writings but messages with some olden golden pictures. Wasn’t this a great way to make my day much more special? I love such ideas of personalised gifts India , as they give a sense of warmth and are sure to touch your heart and soul.
I enjoyed reliving some of the fond memories of my earlier years. Few of them were really embarrassing but then childhood is all about having fun…isn’t it?
Reading these memories made me realize that the most beautiful things are not associated with money; they are fond memories and divine moments made with the family. If you don’t celebrate those, they can pass you by. It made me realize the importance of doing some simple but important things with my son. They include:
Books can surely make your bond strong with your child. Read to him or her more often and as you read involve yourself as the characters of the story, making the characters come alive and see for yourself how your child is going to remember it forever.
Do good deeds together:
Let you and your kids do something helpful for someone else. Show them by example how to help the needy and how meaningful it is to do such good deeds. Let them experience the great feeling as they do something for others. It not just gives them a sense of empowerment but also sets an example for their future.
Involve yourself in their area of interest:
If your child has interest in cricket, do not hesitate to bowl him a few overs. You might hate doing this (just as I do…lol) but gradually I am sure you would feel that it was the best thing that could have happened to you and your kids would be grateful for that as well. I am creating some great memories this way with my son.
As rightly said, A family that eats together stays together. Make sure that you have at least one meal of the day sitting together as a perfect family. Remember to be warmer and engaged rather than being controlling and authoritative to develop healthy eating habits in your child.
Celebrate festivals together:
We all have our own set of traditions during festivals. All you need to do is, make sure these traditions involve your child. That way they will not just understand the importance of family traditions but will also treasure them forever.
Fun on the road:
Nature is the best teacher. Vacations do take your time and money but this investment is sure to pay big returns. It can be just camping together or just an overnight visit to a nearby town. Go someplace different but yes together as a family.
And yes, don’t forget to take lots of pictures. Pictures help preserve the memories.
I know I have built some great memories with my little champ in these 3 years. I am going to treasure them forever with Photojaanic. Their enticing photobooks, that can be created in no time on the app, is a great way to treasure my loving memories.
Don’t you have some beautiful memories with your family that you would like to treasure forever…?
