Funky Monkeys : A way for kids to get rid of boredom

Funky Monkey
  • At this stage, when Diwali is over but not the Diwali vacations, an unmistakable sense of weariness can set in — for parents. It is not easy to handle hearing the phrase “I’m bored!” by the kids so many times. But Moms and Dads here is a reason to smile and let your kids enjoy the vacations getting rid of this boredom: Funky Monkeys.

 About Funky Monkeys

Funky Monkeys Play center is an indoor soft play center. This place is well designed to provide countless activities that can keep your kids occupied with a lot of fun.

Funky Monkey

Funky Monkeys has 7 centers including the one in Surat (that we visited) exclusively designed for kids aged 6 months to 12 years.

Funky Monkeys Play Centre is situated at Level 3 of VR Mall at Dumas Road in Surat and is open seven days a week.

They have two play zones (Toddler Zone & Junior Zone). They have a variety of soft play equipment that is not just unique but also stimulating the gross and fine motor skills of your little ones. The equipment is completely safe for kids, being soft. This can be a perfect place to host birthday parties or play dates, as they are well equipped to handle the food requirements in their in-built cafeteria. They also offer Free WiFi, Valet Parking, Kid Friendly Bathrooms, a First Aid Kit and CCTV Monitors, adhering to all fire safety regulations.

Our experience at Funky Monkeys:

Little Devaansh and his cousin Aryan visited this place. By the time I could make the entry, my son was already waiting at the gate to enter the Toddler play zone. He enjoyed the pony ride at the Mini Carousel, a play structure which had a soft step climb moving on to a balance beam ending with a slide that landed him into a colorful ball pool.

He even enjoyed the interactive activity wall panels that are built to stimulate the senses and encourage interaction.

The Junior Play Zone was, of course, more fun. Parents have a free entry to accompany their kids. So I had a chance to be a child again along with Devaansh and Aryan. After all, ‘Dil to baccha hai Ji’ .We even had the company of Play supervisors who were very patient and friendly with the kids.

We enjoyed the Multi-lane wave slides altogether. Rock climbing, Jumping on Trampoline, tubular spiral slide, crawl up tunnels, rainbow stair climb, balance bridge, viewing helicopters are a few of those things that the little ones were glued too.

We even enjoyed stacking up the soft bricks to build the house.

The fun battle zone was a complete standout feature of this place. The two little hands kept filling the bags of softballs into the ball shooters and battle each other! Just for fun.

And while these monkeys were going Bananas, I enjoyed a sip of cold coffee at the Funky Monkeys Café!!.

Charges Applicable :

On weekdays Rs360 for 60 minutes.

On weekends Rs460 for 60 minutes.

Good aspects of Funky Monkeys:

# Age-specific play zones so that kids of all age can have equal fun.

# Number of activities that keep our little ones engaged for long hours.

# Completely safe as the structure is made up with soft equipment.

# Number of center supervisors to ensure the safety of kids.

# Allows parents to accompany the kids (which also means that the structures are strong enough to handle weight)

# In-house café to cater food & beverage requirements.

# Kids friendly and hygienic bathrooms.

# Saviour for parents on a hot or a rainy day

# Great in tackling boredom of children keeping them active and healthy.

With being a little expensive on weekends, Criesnlaughter would rate this place 4.5/5, as we absolutely loved this place. This place is great for kids as it’s another way of ‘Exercising in Disguise’ for them.

PS: It is compulsory for the kids as well as adults to have socks on before you enter the play zones. In case, you forget, you can always buy them from the counter itself.

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Problogger October 2017 Blogging Challenge  for prompt 8 ‘A song on your radio’

Co-incidently it turned out to be ‘Dil to baccha hai Ji..which means My heart is a still a child’
