http://grangevillegolf.com/womens-association/photo-gallery-for-womens-golf-association/?print=print And they believed that living as a two was a life full of joy.
Gradually, there came in a precious gift,
They got him to this world and their minds took a little drift.
They changed priorities and made sacrifice,
They took every decision that was wise.
Mismatched socks and messy buns became a part of their life,
Yet they laughed and giggled in this phase to survive.
They never thought that life would never be the same,
Once the baby arrives, it would be an entirely different game.
Sunkissed rings have lost some shine,
But thats not everthing that made their love divine.
Life had changed without any doubt,
But they had always been together in every bout.
When there is darkness around or the lights are dim,
They remembered, there is the love of their child and always a hope within.
So they snuggled together, they were on a spree,
They were a family and a rocking ‘Three’.
This poem was about how things changed for us when our champ came into our lives. Though there was an immense feeling of joy to hold him in our arms, yet it was one of the crucial phases for the two of us. I remember having a lot of fights on illogical reasons between the two of us. But yes, it was a phase and it passed away and I am glad we could make through it.
You always look back on years without kids and remember them fondly. But this doesn’t mean that your relationship with your partner can go for a toss now because you have a family. Instead, I feel that the word family makes your bond strong and more special …after all you are not just husband and wife but also Mom and Dad….that’s life after a baby 🙂
