The words which can describe the feeling of being pregnant are not available in any dictionary. The goosebumps on seeing those two lines on the HPT kit, can be felt only once for life time ( at least for me ) . I am writing this blog reliving my pregnancy and I am sure there will be many mums relating to mine.
Sharing the news
The lovely magic moments gets created once you share the news with your partner. Trust me, the happiness of becoming a father is no less than the happiness of becoming a mother. Same goes for Dada-dadi, Nana-nani and other relatives. So do share the news with your closed ones. It’s a good news and everybody should get the joy of it. You will be glad to see the showers of blessings and pampering that follows.
When you see your baby for the first time through scan, usually by 8-10 weeks, the feeling is like you holding your baby for the first time. It is important that your partner joins you for these scans, as you can always double the joy this way.
It’s easy to count the days in trimesters as each passing trimester you feel relieved that you have crossed a stage. The journey from the size of a pea to the size of a pumpkin can be seen with your growing tummy. This is the only time when a girl feels proud to be out of shape and she should be as she is about to bring a new life into this world.
The first trimester is mostly fiiled with nausea (not in my case though) which usually vanishes by the second trimester. During the second trimester, the tummy starts to show up and you also start feeling your baby movements.
These movements become very prominent in the form of kicks during the third trimester. Again sharing is a very important aspect. Make your partner feel those kicks. This is were the bonding between father and baby starts.
Once you reach the last month, it becomes very difficult for you to kill the time. You are eager and cannot wait anymore to hold the baby in your arms. But trust me, this feeling of ninth month you are not going to get again (if you are not planning for another baby). Pamper yourself in this month the most. Get a relaxing Spa or Facial. Indulge in your favorite time pass. Do not forget your evening walks and most important your talks with the baby. You are going to love the response that you get in the form of kicks.
Get ready for the D-day with lots of excitement!
- In case you have morning sickness don’t get up from the bed empty stomach, keep biscuits to munch on next to your bed. Have two of them and be on bed for some 20mins more.
- Sleep straight or make use of pregnancy pillows.
- Place a pillow between your legs if yoy sleep side ways.
- Keep your legs a little elevated as you sleep.
- Do not stand or sit in one position for long.
